Closely related to rap culture and Californian flair, the Nike Cortez saw the light of day in 1972. First introduced at the National Sporting Goods Association (NSGA) tradeshow, the low-top long-distance running trainer was sporting one of the first ever Nike Swoosh on its upper. designed by non-other than U.S. Olympic Coach Bill Bowerman. This white and black version of the classic running shoe features a white leather upper with black Swoosh and lightweight midsole.
